ABOUT PROGRAMME

Well established financial markets leads to the growth of economy and contribute towards strong nation building. This creates the need for specialist to operate the same. In view of this scenario a commerce course specialized in financial markets, BCom in Financial Markets was introduced in 2008. This programme makes the learners employable for the various financial market services.

PROGRAMME DETAILS

The eligibility for the course is 10+2 (i.e., HSC or equivalent) in Commerce with a minimum of 40 % (or equivalent). It is a three-year undergraduate programme spread across six semesters.

This program of B.Com in Financial Markets is structured to provide graduates with practical skills required in financial services arena. The main objective of B.Com (Financial Markets) is:-

  • To equip the learners with necessary theoretical and practical know-how and provide an academic base so that they can apply the same in researching financial markets for investment.
  • To provide an integrated perspective of financial system along with a good amount of exposure to real life cases / technical knowhow.
  • To train students with knowledge in the field of Equity Market, Debt Market, Money Market, Forex Market, Commodity Market and Risk management.
  • To enable the learners to enhance their knowledge about financial markets and their linkages to the economy.
