Abstract:
India’s Electric Vehicles (EV) sector has progressed into a mature and stable phase, showing strong growth prospects and an expanding market base. Significant enhancements in product quality since the early years of EVs introduction have contributed to this progress. Consumers in India are increasingly open to technological advancements, which has shifted their perception and given EVs an advantage over conventional vehicles, particularly in terms of sustainability. The present study explored individuals’ perceptions of EVs and revealed that most people view the idea of purchasing an electric vehicle positively. Nonetheless, one major obstacle to EV adoption is the limited knowledge people have about various features and aspects of these vehicles. Even so, the research ultimately found that public sentiment toward electric vehicles remains largely positive.
