65 students took part in thetraining programme for Independence Day parade started in the campus from 28thJune 2011.This year we could enroll a total of 47 cadets in different units ofvarious colleges. Of this, 39 cadets including 15 girl cadets have beenenrolled in the Army wing; 4 boys each in the Air and the Naval wings. On 15thAugust, at the Independence Day celebration 32 cadets took part in the parade.Ms. Prema Jaya kumar, M.com topper from our college at the Universityexamination was the Chief Guest for the Independence Day Flag hoistingfunction. At a colorful function held after the flag hoisting function theChief Guest, Dr. Snehalatha Deshmukh, former Vice – Chancellor, University ofMumbai, gave away the academic prizes to winners.

The year 2011-2012 saw a major qualitative andquantitative change in the activities of NCC cadets at the college level and atthe unit level. Enthusiastic and self-motivated cadets have done a lot ofcamps. In all 4 cadets have returned after RDC II camp and 14 cadets havereturned after RDCIII camp. One such cadet, Gupta Rajnarayan Paramand made usproud by over coming all obstacles and becoming one among the 13 cadets chosenfrom Mumbai region in order to participate at the Republic Day Parade held atNew Delhi on 26th January 2012.

The following are some of the important camps attended by our cadets apart from theRDC.
  • 29 cadets attended ATC (AnnualTraining Camps) including 6 girl cadets held at JNPT Uran.
  • 27 cadets participated inRepublic Day parade in their respective NCC units.
  • 13 cadets including 8 girlcadets took part in NCC Day camp from 17 November to 27 November 2011.
  • 5 cadets took part in Sectionattack in the NCC day camp.
  • Senior cadet Vikas Vishwakarmaattended the National Integration camp held at Mysore, Karnataka from 8thOctober to 23rd October.2011.
  • Cadet Amit Jaiswar attended theNational trekking Camp held at Belgaum,Kanataka from 4th October to 19thOctober 2011.
  • Cadet Mistry Khyati attendedthe Army Attachment Camp at Amravati from 5th December to 20thDecember 2011.
  • 14 cadets participated in the oneday Trekking camp held on 18 September 2011 at Khandeswar.
  • 25 cadets took part in a rallyfor saving girl child on 14 November 2011.

Exams:
  • In February 2011, 7 cadetscleared their B- certificate exam and 4 cadets cleared their C- certificate exams.
  • 25 cadets appeared for B -certificate and 3 cadets appeared for C-certificate exams in January 2012.

The following are theachievements of NCC cadets during 2011-2012.
  • JUO Vishal Yadav was theParade Commander (All Maharashtra) at the NCC Day parade held at Colaba on26thNov.2011.
  • Cadet Sunny Singh got theSenior Best Cadet Trophy at the NCC day camp.
  • Senior Cadet VikasVishwakarma of SYBCOM got the Best NCC cadet award from theKES College Unit.
  • Cadet Singh Shivani of FYJCreceived the All-rounder Best cadet award from NCC unit of Ismail YusufCollege.
  • Cadet Yadav Shivkumar of SYJCgot the medal for Best Attendance record from Patkar College.
  • Cadet Khyati Mistry and CadetSonia Pandey got the rank of 1st and 2nd sergeantrespectively. Cadets Shivani and Mumtaz Shaikh have been given the rank ofCorporal respectively from Ismail Yusuf College.

Awards: In recognition at the College and Unit levelactivities, the following awards were given to our cadets at the Annual Prizedistribution function.
  • Best NCC Cadet (Sr.) – CadetGupta Rajnarayan P of FYBCOM.
  • Best NCC Camper (Sr.) – cadetAshish S Yadav of FYBCOM.
  • Best NCC Leaders (Sr.) - CadetVikasVishwakarma SYBCOM and Cadet Vishal R. Yadav SYBCOM.
  • Best NCC Cadet (Jr.) - MauryaV Mehul FYJC.
  • Best NCC Camper (Jr.)-AmitO.Jaiswer FYJC.
  • Best NCC Cadet (Girls)-RoshniN. Nashit FYJC
  • Best NCC Camper (Girls)- MistryKhyati R FYJC.
