  About IQAC


This Cell was established in the academic year 2002-2003 and functions on the basis of the guidelines set forth by NAAC. It works towards improving and maintaining the quality of education, identifying and suggestive new ways of using teaching aids, developing suitable infrastructure and offering suggestions for the new self-finance courses. IQAC is an effective and efficient internal co-coordinating and monitoring mechanism.

The IQAC plays a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the quality of the institution and suggests quality measures. The IQAC meets every quarterly to plan, direct and implement the teaching, research and publication activities in the College. The sub-committees dealing with various activities and departments implement the IQAC guidelines and report the feedback.

The College has prepared a Perspective Plan for the period of five years-commencing form the academic year 2008-2009 to the academic year 2013-2014 by taking into consideration the quality indicators of Seven Criterion determinedly NAAC. In the preparation of the Perspective Plan, the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the College has taken initiatives. Inputs from all stakeholders, their expectations, management policies and goals and objectives of the college are considered as a base for formulation of the perspective plan. The draft of Perspective Plan has been discussed, reviewed and approved in the local managing committee of the college. Every year IQAC devises a Perspective Plan in the beginning of the academic year and also gives an account of the outcome achieved by the end of the academic year.

Feedback from all the stakeholders and the recommendations of the IQAC are taken into consideration and innovations are incorporated in perspective plan. Student feedback mechanism,self-appraisal by teachers, introduction of teachers training program mes,faculty improvement programmes, establishment of staff academy, encouragement to teachers for research are some of the measures taken for at priority quality sustenance and enhancement as a strategy.
